Week 15 Notes

The Regular Season ends, as the Raiders grab the last playoff spot, defeating the Snoozers in a lack-luster fashion 35-24. The Snoozers were on a roll climbing from 8th place in week 6 to 4th place in week 13, only to lose their chance at glory with 2 losses in a row. Not only did the Snoozers not finish 4th, but slipped to 6th place after the Marauders won 65-50 over the Flying Beavers.

The Kings of Nothing finish with their 3rd straight high score of the week, nailing down the 1st place regular season title 83-55 over Brenda's Biatch. The GM of the Kings is wondering if his team has peaked too early, "I wish the playoffs had started 2 weeks ago. We are really on a roll, but last year we finished 2nd in the regular season, only to lose 2 in a row, so anything can happen."
Only 1 team, The Raiders,in the Super Bowl Playoffs has yet to win a BFFL Championship. Many questions arise as the playoffs start: Which Raider team will show up in week 16? The one that scored 66 in week 14 or the one that scored 8 in week 13? Can the WhoseYourDaddies three-peat?? Have the Kings of Nothing peaked too early? Can the Flying Beavers return to mid season form?

In the other bracket, only 1 team, the Snoozers, have ever tasted Defeat in the Toilet Bowl, will they repeat as Toilet Bowl Winner, or will we crown a new pink seat owner?

We are still trying to interview all the coaches for the fabulous playoff edition of the al_falcons home page, more to come....

Week 14 Notes
Thanks to Mike Anderson for powering the Kings Of Nothing into 1st place, with a 4 TD, 251 yd, 42 Fantasy Point performance. The Kings scored their highest score of the season, in beating the Snoozers(6-7-1 5th place) 95-30. The Snoozers need another victory against the Raiders (7-7 4th place) in week 15 to make the Super Bowl playoffs. The Raiders eliminated the Marauders from the playoffs by knocking off the all-of-sudden-beatable WhoseYourDaddies(10-4) 66-23. The Daddies have lost 3 in a row since crushing the Kings of Nothing in week 11. The Daddies and Kings are tied with 10-4 records and are 1-1 against each other, but the Kings are the top seed by way of their 69 total fantasy point lead over the Daddies.
The Marauders(6-8) fell 65-21 to the Flying Beavers (9-5 3rd place), assuring the Beavers a spot in the playoffs. The ever upbeat GM of the Marauders was doing his Dandy Don Meredith impersonation when interviewed this week," "Turn out the lights the party's overrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, they say that all good things must endddddddddd........."
This week it is the ever-popular position week, where the 1st place team plays the 8th place, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5. This will make 2 years in a row where the 4-5 matchup decides the last team in the playoffs. Can anyone forget the 1999 WhoseYourDaddies, winning in week 15 to make the playoffs, then proceeding to win the 1999 SuperBowl!! Will the Raiders or Snoozers have as good a fortune this year??

Week 13 Notes
The Raiders Set new all time low with 8 points! In the big battle of the week, the Snoozers (6-6-1) dismembered the Raiders(6-7 tie for 5th place), 47-8 to take 4th place. When interviewed about the record breaking performance, the GM of the Raiders, Frank had this to say,"Well, I would like to thank everyone for there support and just a reminder to all. I'M BACK. KW(Kurt Warner) is at the helm for the Rams, and we'll see what happens this Sunday." The Snoozers and Raiders both match up with the #1 and #2 teams this week. This could be good news for the Marauders(6-7 tie for 5th place) as they try to grab 1 of the 2 remaings spots in the Super Bowl Bracket.
The Marauders remain in the hunt with a 58-40 victory over the Spoilers. WR Muhsin Muhammad came through with the winning margin 18 points on Monday night vs Green Bay. The Spoilers move out of the cellar and Brenda's Biatch takes over.

Here is a close look at the stats from the BFFL's worst single game performance EVER.
QB Steve McNair 0 fan pts, 0 TD's, 224 passing yds.
RB Curtis Martin 0 fan pts, 0 TD's, 29 rushing yds.
RB Larry Centers 0 fan pts, 0 TD's, 0 rushing yds, 33 rec yards
WR Derric Alexander 0 fan pts, 0 TD's, 67 rec yds
WR Albert Connell 0 fan pts, 0 TD's, 0 rec yds. Hurt in 1st quarter.
TE Ricky Dudley 0 fan pts, 0 TD's, 11 rec yds.
K Al Delgreco 7 fan pts, 2 fg's 1 pat
DT Miami 1 fan pt, 0 sacks, 0 Fumble Recoveries, 1 int.

Week 12 Notes

WhoseYourDaddies fall for only the second time all season 56-33 to the lowly Spoilers(now 3-8-1, 7th place). The Daddies must have been feeling a letdown after the big win in week 11 over the Kings of Nothing, and were suprised by the Spoilers. The Spoilers only had 4 players score, but the 40 fantasy points turned in by Fred Taylor on Sunday night assured the victory. The Daddies still remain 2 games in front of the Kings of Nothing for regular season 1st place with only 3 games remaining.

Snoozers jump to 5th place with 73-20 win over now 8th place Brenda's Biatch. The Snoozers were in 8th place just 6 weeks ago, but with 3 wins in a row, appear primed for the playoff run. The Snoozers have been led by Robert Smith of the Vikings who has remained healthy all season and accounted for 17 fantasy points this week. Rod Smith's 17 and Shannon Sharpe's 14 fantasy points put the Snoozers in the playoff hunt.

The Flying Beavers and Kings of Nothing both win to help their playoff cause. The Beavers were victorous 78-23 over the realling Raiders, while the Kings won 69-30 over the Marauders.

Still, 3 playoff spots remain open as the WhoseYourDaddies are the only team to clinch a playoff spot. The Kings of Nothing appear to need 1 win in the next 3 weeks to get in and the Flying Beavers, probably need 2 wins to be assured to be out of the Toilet Bowl bracket. Although the Spoilers won and moved into 7th place, it looks near impossible for the Spoilers (3-8-1) or Brenda's Biatch (3-9) to make the playoffs over either the 4th place Raiders (6-6) or 5th place Snoozers (5-6-1).

Week 13 should help to clarify the playoff spots as the Snoozers and Raiders fight it out for 4th place. It is starting to look as if this match up might happen 2 out of the next 3 weeks, with the 4th and 5th place teams match up in week 15. The Marauders are still very much in the hunt, only 1 game from 4th place, but the GM Dale was not too optomistic in a interview this week. All he could say was, "Did someone just say.......FLUSH!!!!!".

Week 11 Notes
Just say no to Elvis
WhoseYourDaddies (10-1 1st place) remain dominate with 79-41 victory over the Kings of Nothing (7-4 2nd place). Looks like Elvis Grbak has fallen to the al_falcons curse. After being featured here last week for his outstanding fantasy performances, Elvis accounted for 0 fantasy points in week 11. The Kings have put the word out, Elvis will not start for ANY fantasy team the rest of the season. The Kings would not have won anyway if they had chose one of their other 2 QB's for the week, Trent Green 30 fan pts or Dante Culpepper 27 fan pts.

All 8 teams remain in the playoff hunt with 4 weeks to go, with 3.5 games separating 3rd and 8th places. The Snoozers (4-6-1 6th place) are on a roll with a 67-28 victory over the Flying Beavers(6-5 tie for 3rd place). The Snoozers were lead by free-agent pickup New Orleans Saints Defense with 21 fan pts, Shaun King 12 fan pts and Rick Waters 12 fan pts.
The Marauders (5-6 5th place)win 35-33 over Brenda's Biatch (3-8 7th place) in the closest game of the week. The Biatches were not too happy when their starting QB Brian Griese, separated his shoulder in the first half on Monday night, but remained in the game. Griese and Terrell Davis accounted for 6 points each, causing another heart breaking loss for the Biatches.

The Raiders (6-5 tie for 3rd place) defeated the Spoilers (2-8-1 8th place) 48-36 thanks to some QB performance this week by Steve McNair's 12 fan pts. The Raiders are still hoping that Kurt Warner will return soon and guide them into the playoffs. A week 12 matchup with the Flying Beavers in a battle for 3rd place awaits the Raiders this week.

Week 10 Notes

Updated Standings Graph
WhoseYourDaddies (9-1) and Kings of Nothing (7-3) are trying to pull away from the pack, with victories in week 10. The WhoseYourDaddies win a close one 55-46 over Brenda's Biatch thanks to Rich Gannon's 4 td passes good for 24 fantasy points. Gannon has not been the most consistent fantasy player, already with 2 0's and 2 times with 24 pts. The Kings of Nothing took revenge for previous loss to the Raiders, with an 81-58 victory. The Raiders were hating life with a big GOOSE EGG (0 fan pts) from QB Steve McNair, while the Kings enjoyed 28 pts from backup Trent Green. As we mentioned last week, the lack of a solid #2 QB has hurt the Raiders ever since Kurt Warner suffered a broken finger. The Raiders are now 5-5 in 4th place fighting it out for the last playoff spot with the 4-6 Marauders, the 3-6-1 Snoozers and the 3-7 Brenda's Biatch.

The Spoilers 2-7-1 win for only the second time this season, 63-41 over the third place (6-4) Flying Beavers. This is 2 loses in a row for the Beavers who seem to be cooling off a little bit. The Beavers are just 3-3 since week 4 when they scored a WHOPPING 114 fantasy points.

The WhoseYourDaddies visit the Kings of Nothing in week 11, with the Daddies looking to revenge their only loss of the season. Early indications are that the Kings will go with Elvis Grbac as their starting QB, after he has posted 29 and 41 fantasy points (6TD's, 846 passing yards)in the last 2 weeks. The Kings were very impressed with Grbac's 41 point, 504 passing yards vs Oakland, while on the Kings of Nothing bench in week 10. The Kings of Nothing and WhoseYourDaddies each have had the high score of the week 3 times in the last 6 weeks of this year's BFFL. This should be a great BFFL matchup!

Week 9 Notes

WhoseYourDaddies still in first place after taking down the Marauders 73-46, despite getting 0 pts from their starting QB Rich Gannon. The 'Daddies' showed balanced scoring, only Gannon did not score for them, while the second string defense of Tennessee comes up big on Monday night with 22 pts to seal the victory. The defeat left the Marauders in low spirits and in 5 place with a 4-5 record. This prompted GM Dale to "purge" 5 members of the Maradures in a desparate attempt to salvage their season.

The battle for second place was won by the Kings of Nothing 57-47 over the Flying Beavers. This battle came down to the second half of the ST. Louis Rams vs the SF 49'ers. In the first half the Beavers were looking good with 2 Jeff Garcia TD passes and 0 TD's for Trent Green. But Green came through in the second helf with 2 TD's of his own and 310 yds for 16 fan pts.

The Raiders stay in playoff contention with a 57-36 victory over Brenda's Biatch. They don't seem to miss Kurt Warner that much yet, thanks to Derrick Alexander's 22 fan pts.
The Snoozers and Spoilers tie at 35 in a battle for 7th place. The Snoozers come up with 18 fantasy points on Monday night from Stehpen Davis and Brad Johnson to secure 7th place. The Spoilers didn't change their line up this week and it might have cost them when Jimmy Smith sat out the game and scored 0 fan pts.

Week 8 Notes

Kings of Nothing have high score of the week in a 90-19 stomping of the Spoilers. The Kings were led by Lamar Smith's 22 and Dante Culpepper's 20 fantasy points, either one could have single-handedly beaten the last place Spoilers. Corey Dillon sets a NFL record for most rushing yards in a single game on the Kings bench, or the victory might have been by a 100 point margin.

Marauders are victorious over the Raiders after Kurt Warner goes down with a broken pinkie, 58-49. In the battle in the middle of the pack, the Marauders squeek out a victory, thanks in part to Marvin Harrison's 24 fan pts. With the #1 QB in the league out for 4-6 weeks what will the Raiders do for a QB? The Kings of Nothing might have gotten the free agent pick up of the year when they picked up Trent Green 10 days BEFORE the Warner injury.

The WhoseYourDaddies win again 71-48 over the Snoozers and the Flying Beavers win 67-37 over Brenda's Biatch. This sets up a week 9 showdown for second place between the hot Flying Beavers and the Kings of Nothing. The Kings GM Steve had this to say about the state of the BFFL in week 8." This weeks SF vs St Louis game has got to be the game of the week. From the looks of the line-ups page it will be Jeff Garcia for the "Beavers" and Trent Green for the "Kings". Now, if that Issac Bruce character would pull what he always pulled when he was on my fantasy teams and be out for a few weeks, the then "Kings" will be in great shape. Trent Green, Tory Holt, Haz Hakem...... smells like victory.... Until that happens I will be happy to start Randy Moss..
I wanted to thank Chuck for dropping Lamar Smith and "giving" the "Kings" another solid #1 running back to chose from each week. I thought that I was the only person who could drop someone and then they turn around and have their best game of the season.
I would also like to thank Frank for the loan of the QB of the most prolific scoring machine the NFL has seen in 20+ years. (in Frank's mind...) Note to self, next year if I have the #1 QB in the league, I MIGHT want to pick up his backup, just in case...".

Week 7 Notes

The WhoseYourDaddies are tying to pull away from the field after a very high scoring game 95-79 over the Raiders. The "Daddies" (6-1, 1st place) were lead by first round pick Edgerin James with 32 pts and 4 other players over 10 pts. The Raiders, now 4-3 in a 3rd place tie, had great games from Kurt Warner, 24 pts; Curtis Martin, 25 pts; and Ricky Williams 19 pts. It sucks to have the second highest score of the week, only to lose.
In other action the Flying Beavers (5-2, 2nd place) recovered on Monday night to defeat the Marauders 55-51, thanks to Eddie George's 15 pts. The Snoozers (2-5, 7th place) get their second win of the season 68-54 over the Kings of Nothing (4-3, 3rd place tie). You will recall before week 1, the Snoozers promised victory over the "Kings" and they were true to their promise. The Spoliers are now pulling up the rear, 1-6 after losing to Brenda's Biatch 60-31. Can the Spoilers recover like they did last year , last place after week 5, then making the BFFL Super Bowl?
There are 5 teams within 2 games of 3rd place and the Spoilers are only 3 games out of a playoff spot, after the first rotation of the BFFL schedule.
Updated Standings Graph

Week 6 Notes

I kinda of snoozed on this weeks stuff. The WhoseYourDaddies take sole posession of 1st place by beating the Flying Beavers. The Snoozers almost pulled the big upset against the Raiders, only to have their Monday night players, Sean King 295 yds passing and Robert Smith 81 yds rushing come up 3 Fantasy points short.
Week 5 Notes
Beavers win a close one 53-50 over the Raiders, Kings of Nothing take high weekly score, 81-55 over the Marauders. The Beavers continue on their race to #1 with a Sunday night victory over the Raiders, thanks to an ex-Redskin, Brian Mitchell's 89 yd kick off return for a TD. The Raiders, who for the first time this season, changed their line-up, were led by Kurt Warner's 36 pts. It seems like the rest of the Raiders did not show up and only managed 14 pts between the other 7 starters. The Beavers go into week 6 as the favorite against the WhoseYourDaddies(also 4-1) for undisputed first place in the BFFL, and are on a 4 game winning streek.

The Kings of Nothing showed their WR strength, with a familiar chant from the crowd, "MOSS, MOSS, MOSS". The crowd was taunting the Maradures, who 2 years ago used Moss as their primary target. The "East Coast Offense" of Dante Culpepper to Randy Moss accounted for 53 of the Kings 81 points this week.
The Snoozers come away with their first victory of the season with a 42-27 win over Brenda's Biatch. The Snoozers break their 4 game losing streak, while the "Biatch" now has lost 3 in a row and dropped to 2-3.

Week 4 Notes
It is all about the Beavers. In an amazing show of FFL power the Flying Beavers defeated the Snoozers 114-39 to pull into a tie for 1st place. Helped by the Monday night explosing by Payton Manning, 43 pts and the Sunday scores from Ryan Longwell, 21 pts, and the Eagles Defense, 17 pts, the Beavers pulled off one of the great games in BFFL history. This has the BFFL stats men scrambling over the record books to see if this is the highest score ever recorded. The Snoozers were not very happy after the game, GM Julian was quoted,"I don't think that performance was worth S*** ! I'll be back!". He has a long road ahead of him with his 0-4 record and sole posession of last place.
The GM of the Flying Beavers attributed the scoring blast to the new Beaver Stadium in Elkridge, MD, the new attitude of the Beaver fans, and the Beaver Mascott. The Mascott, yet unnamed, was seen flying into the stadium before the game started, dropped from a helecopter. This helped set the tone for a great day.

The Kings of Nothing upset the WhoseYourDaddies 74-60 in a high-scoring game, getting some revenge on the Daddies for last year, when the Kings went 0-3 against the Daddies. Tony Gonzales accounted for 14 pts and Tory Holt accounted for 27 to lead the Kings, while Rich Gannon accounted for 0 pts for the Daddies.
The Raiders continue to win beating the Spoilers 80-44, despite having players on bye for the second week in a row, and their GM never changing the line-up!
A new Standings Graph for the 2000 season has been created. As always with one these graphs, if 2 teams have the same record, then the owner with the highest Fan Pts is listed first.

Week 3 Notes
WhoseYourDaddies still undefeated at 3-0 with 65-34 win over Brendas Biatch. Can anyone stop the WhoseYourDaddies, or will Greg win his 3rd championship in a row?!
At the other end of the standings the Kings of Nothing, the Marauders and the Spoilers all stand at 1-2 and in a tie for 5th place. The disgruntled GM of the "Kings" was considering giving up for the season," I am going to pull a "Colon" and leave my line-up the same for the rest of the season..... I won't even bother to put Moss and Culpepper(week 4 bye) on the bench this weekend." He was visibly shaken by the lack of TD's produced by high draft picks," My first 2 picks in the draft, 6 games, 12 Fantasy Points, way to go!!! Can I say 1-14??"
The GM of the Spoilers was as upset, having a prediction for the end of the year honors," Most inconsistant player: Jimmy Smith. Over 3 games he has scored 0, 40,and then 0 points."
Bill and Steve had the low scores of the week. Steve quipped, "Looks like my losers are 4 points better than your losers...."

Week 2 Notes

Press Release Monday, September 11, 2000 @ 13:20:47
DALE FIRES HIMSELF AS MARAUDERS GM
Marauders Owner Dale "Leadbelly" Stalbaum fired himself today as general manager of the 0 and 2 team, citing irreconcilable differences between Dale, (the GM) and Dale, (the owner). Dale (the owner) cited the boneheaded decisions made by Dale (the GM) for the first two weeks of the BFFL season. "When you consider that the Marauder's bench could have fielded a team scoring 99 points when the starters only had 31, this decision was an easy one.", defended the owner.

When asked who would replace the Dale (the GM), Dale (the owner) said only that he would make a decision in a few days and that the strongest candidate for the job became available just this past weekend, when he was fired as head coach of the University of Indiana Basketball Team. "I'm looking for someone whose not afraid to slap his players and coaches and fans and player's wives and coache's wives and player's dogs and cats around"., said Dale (the Owner). Bobby Knight could not be reached for comment about this rumor. Apparently, he was last seen wrestling a box of girl scout cookies away from a girl scout without paying for them. Rumor has it that he has been urged by friends to join Ragaholics Anonymous.

When questioned as to whether he had lost his edge, Dale (the GM) replied, "Just because I blew it in last years playoffs and just because I didn't play Beurelein, who always has good games against the Forty-Niners and just because I didn't play Harrision because all the injury reports said he was "questionable", you guys are starting to second guess me again. Well, all I can say to that is 'kiss my ass'!

Week 1 Notes
The first week of the season, and the 2 newcomers come away with a victory. Frank defeated Dale 78-40, good for high score of the week, and Chuck defeated Jeff 44-39. The 2 time defending Champs the WhoseYourDaddies won 39-33 over the Snoozers and The Kings of Nothing punished the Spoilers 68-25 in the most lopsided game of the week. This prompted 13 free agent transactions after the first week. The Kings of Nothing pulled the "best" free agent move in recent BFFL history when they picked up Olandis Gary from Denver, only to drop him 7 hours later when it was known that he was out for the season with a torn ACL.
The quick thinking Steve was heard to say, lay with some pain.

The defending regular season champs the Maradures, struggled in week 1 and made the most free agent pickups with 4, even though he was the highest scorer of the losers for the week.

The Dallas Cowgirls are in big trouble with their WR Joey Galloway going down with a season-ending injury, and Troy(my head really does hurt) Aikman going down with a concussion in a week 1 loss to the Eagles 41-14. This prompted the newly re-named Flying Beavers to drop MR. Headache and the Snoozers to cast away MR. Two First Round Draft Picks. Those were wasted 7th round draft picks, but the highest picks that are out for the season this year.
